What Is Anxiety?
 

Divorce, layoffs, financial stress—there's plenty of anxiety around for everyone these days. And very often, the source is something we can't change. How do you know when it's time to get help dealing with your anxieties?


Symptoms:

  • When anxiety is taking a toll, your body knows it

  • You have trouble sleeping, eating, and concentrating

  • You may get headaches and or an upset stomach

  • You might feel a pounding heart and the feeling of being lightheaded

  • Feeling sweaty palms

  • It may even stop you from doing day to day activities because it becomes so overwhelming


In cases of overwhelming anxiety, people are not making good decisions. They avoid things and procrastinate because of lack of concentration and not being able to stay focused. When anxiety interferes with your life it is time to get some help. Together we can work through your individual anxieties, develop coping skills, and gain greater sense of control over your life. Getting help for anxiety, as early as possible gives you the best chance for recovery.
